Gringo Loco
You want to catch tuna, then this is the boat!!
Gringo Loco is a 26' modified Super Panga powered by twin 55 Yamaha outboards. It is one of the faster pangas in the fleet. It cruises at 25+ knots. This boat is a Tuna chaser. It is equipped with GPS Navigation, cellular phone and VHS radio.
Gringo Loco is equipped with Penn International Reels and Penn 9/0 reels designed for Tuna catching.
Captain of the Gringo Loco is Luis Maciel Castro with over 30 years experience in the Zihuatanejo area. In this last 5 years he has put his guests onto countless tuna and has boated more than one hundred tuna over 200 pounds! His largest to date was caught just last year and weighed 346 pounds. He has personally won 5 of the local billfish tournaments here and in Lazaro Cardenas.
Gringo Loco is based in the Zihuatanejo Marina and charters for $250 US per day including 8 hour day, Mexican license, tackle, bait & lures, dispatch fees, and ice. Special Tuna trips of up to 10 hours are available for $300, 12 hours for $350 per day. Maximum of 4 adult anglers.
